Pakistani military establishment’s jihadi tactics bounced back
According to the sources, the Tahreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) group is an assemblage made up of fighters from different provinces and regions of Afghanistan, and the majority of members of this group are connected to the southwest zone of Afghanistan. Maulana Abdullah Yaghistani, the leader of TJP, who is a resident of Kunar province of Afghanistan and the surname Yaghistani was chosen for him, since, Yaghistan is the part of Greater Afghanistan that the current Pakistani government knows as FATA, which is a mountainous region stretching from Malakand to Waziristan. The TJP leader (Abdullah), who has spent a lot of time in the tribal areas of Pakistan, moved from eastern Afghanistan to southwestern Afghanistan in June 2020 in coordination with the BLA. He started living in Shaheed village of Spin Boldak district of Kandahar and besides dealing with old iron; he also had relations with BLA and TTP and became famous as Maulana Yasar in Spin Boldak and Chaman area.
