EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Source reporting from Baloch human‑rights organizations and local networks alleges a sharp escalation in enforced disappearances and suspected extrajudicial killings of Baloch activists, students, and youth across Balochistan and parts of Sindh during 2025–2026. Agencies frequently named in these allegations include ISI, MI, IB, CTD, FC, Rangers, and affiliated local “death squads.”

According to annual tallies by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and Paank (BNM Human Rights Wing), 1,355 individuals were forcibly disappeared and 225 were reportedly killed under unclear circumstances in 2025 alone. Reporting suggests the trend intensified further in early 2026.

These coercive measures are described by sources as counterproductive, allegedly fueling recruitment for Baloch insurgent groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
