Exclusive: According to accurate intelligence data, aerial surveillance and patrols of unknown drones have started in the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. From late March 2024 and early April, the drone patrols have continuously engrossed over Afghanistan's air space, especially in several specific places in Kandahar province including the residence and office of the leader of the Taliban, Sheikh Haibatullah. But now, some intelligence sources from Pakistan's FATA region on other side of the Afghan border have said that drones have started patrolling the airspace of North and South Waziristan, and on the 1st and 2nd of April, a drone aircraft targeted a hideout and training camp of Lashkar-e-Islam in Wadi Tira area of Khyber Agency.
Lashkar-e-Islam spokesman Qari Salahuddin Ayyubi confirmed to Counterintelligence & Counterterrorism Publication the drone attack in Khyber Agency on April 2, but he attributed the drone attack to the Pakistani Army.
