Exclusive: Sources from West Africa report that over 1,500 local and foreign fighters have entered the border areas of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, with most of them affiliated with the group Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM). This development comes as, in the first week of November, coordinated attacks in the Sahel region by JNIM and allied militias have intensified against the forces of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and their Russian-affiliated mercenary allies, Wagner.

On November 12, in the Sahel region, a bloody attack was also carried out by the Jama'at Nasr al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) militia against Wagner forces, during which several Russian Kalashnikov rifles, including a Russian drone Spy-Camera, were seized.
