Abu Muhammad Al-Jolani HTS leader and Sheikh Haibatullah Akhundzada Taliban leader

Exclusive: According to a source, following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime and the rise to power of the Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group in Syria. The IEA requested on December 9 through its special envoy in Syria, Abdul Rahim Al-Afghani, that HTS leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani should order to include the name of the Taliban leader, Mullah Haibatullah, in the Friday prayer sermon, while initiating diplomatic relations with the Taliban regime. However, the source claims that HTS leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani stated any decisions in post-Assad Syria require coordination and consultation with cabinet members and consideration of the general public's approval, instead of some coercive measures.
